Weinstein Spira, the mid-market public accounting and business advisory firm for Houston’s top high net worth individuals and privately held businesses, has hired Jovany Cossio as a Tax Manager.
Cossio brings many years of experience to the firm, with his career in public accounting beginning in 2008. Jovany prides himself in his reliability and honesty to both his clients and his team. Cossio’s expertise is in partnership taxation, real estate and foreign taxation.
Before starting at Weinstein Spira, Cossio spent fifteen years in public accounting firms across South Florida and North Texas. From 2016 until 2022, Jovany created, managed and sold his own firm. After selling his firm, Cossio was eager to get back into working with a mid-sized firm and to be challenged and be part of a team.
Cossio received his Bachelor of Accounting from Florida International University and his Master of Taxation from Nova Southeastern University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a CPA in Texas and Florida.
