The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is not only the world’s largest livestock show and rodeo… it’s also a Section 501(c)(3) charity that benefits the youth of Texas. Each year, the organization holds a Texas-style Bar-B-Que cook-off between more than 250 teams. Weinstein Spira sponsors a cook-off team – the BBQ Commanders 3 – and invites firm members and clients to this invitation-only pre-party. (Fun fact: BBQ Commanders 3 were the Overall Grand Champion in 2014!)
Houston TSCPA Foundation raises money to help provide scholarships to Houston area university students majoring in accounting and provide grants to local area K-12 schools.
Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston brings diverse faith traditions together to collaborate and serve the community. During the holiday season, Weinstein Spira turns the conference room into a card-crafting station and firm members are invited to create holiday cards for the organization.
Each year, our best golfers bring out their clubs for the Tee Up to Cure Diabetes Golf Classic. The tournament raises funds for life-changing research on juvenile diabetes.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Weinstein Spira participates in “Pink Out Day” every October. Firm members are encouraged to wear pink and jeans in exchange for a $5 donation. Firm members who wear extra pink are entered into a gift card drawing.
Texas Children's Hospital, located in Houston, Texas, is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create a healthier future for children and women throughout the global community by leading in patient care, education and research.
United Orthodox Synagogues of Houston is home to a community of over 350 families. As the #1 Modern Orthodox congregation in the Southwest, they have a diverse membership, which includes singles, couples, families with children, college students and people of all ages and backgrounds.
The Woods Project supports the success of disadvantaged students through the use of “wilderness education and exploration experiences.” Weinstein Spira supports the organization by sponsoring and participating in the Walk for the Woods Project, a 4 mile walk through Houston’s historic East End.
The Woodlawn Foundation receives contributions and provides grants to nonprofit organizations that receive pastoral care from the Catholic Prelature of Opus Dei. Weinstein Spira monetarily supports the expansion in memory of a dear client.
Each December, Wreaths Across America’s mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad.
